Local Programming Cycle

The local Programming Cycle began in 2007 in the two pilot Regions of the Programme: Oriental and Tanger - Tétouan.
It is addressed to the members of the Regional and Provincial Working Groups and it is aimed at reinforcing the capabilities of the agents of local development, with regard to the planning, carrying out, follow up and evaluation of the projects of development.

1st phase of the Local Programming Cycle

• Creation of the Working Groups
• Organization of the ateliers of participative planning

The objective of these ateliers is to create a strategic and participative planning aimed at identifying the "Guide Lines" of the ART GOLD Morocco Programme supporting the strategies of the regions for International Cooperation».

This planning process has been created as a result of the following ateliers:

• 1st atelier : Methodology ART GOLD and structure of the document of «Guide Lines».
• 2nd atelier : Decentralized Cooperation
• 3rd atelier : Collection and analysis of data
• 4th atelier : Definition of the priorities of development

More than 520 agents of local development participated in the ateliers of the First Phase of the Cycle of Local Programming.

2nd phase of the Cycle of Local Programming

The second phase of the Cycle of Local programming allows the member of the Working Groups to be endowed with the necessary utensils to carry out the projects which respond to the priorities defined in the document of the "Guide Lines".

Thereby, several ateliers of formation aimed at the reinforcement of the capabilities have been organized according to the demand of the local actors, which was included in the 2nd phase, centered on: Creation of projects, Gender approach, Millennium Development Goals (MDG), Evaluation and follow-up of the projects…etc.
